They then show a graphic where all the malls, except Merle Hay, were opening at 9 a.m. (instead of the normal 10 a.m.).

Klinge is one of two weekend anchors.

If you catch their taped introductions, Klinge is shown pushing her hip to the side and planting her hand on said hip, all with a silly model type grin.

Winters errs at the :36 mark when in his piece he states, "Broadway's true story behind the witches of Oz".

Dan my man, Wicked and The Wizard of Oz are what we call fantasy and would be found in the fiction section of a library.

Winters corrected his written story to read, Broadway's "untold story behind the witches of Oz".

SHOE RECYCLING: Urbandale students collect old shoes for Nike program

These students collected 389 pairs of shoes that will be ground up and then reused as the surface for athletic facilities.

Klinge states that, Each pair of shoes takes 2,000 gallons of water to make, according to Nike. That means Webster saved over 700-thousand gallons.

WHAT?

Only if all those 389 pairs weren't replaced with new shoes.

I Remember It Well?

This is the 23rd anniversary of our First "Real" Date.

I quizzed Chris on what that date entailed and she responded that we saw the movie the Fifth Protocol at the Capri Theater, then had pizza at the Godfather's next door.

BUZZ--WRONG!

We saw the Fourth Protocol at the River Hills/Riviera Theater and that was the entire date as she needed to get home.

It's a good thing someone has written this down and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The movie at the Capri and Godfather's were later, I just can't remember the name of the movie.

We at least had the good graces to laugh about and I broke into the post title song.

WHO DT's weak-enders (Dan Winters & Elizabeth Klinge) opened their newscast by commenting that this morning had to be the coldest of the season (-5).

BUZZ--WRONG!

It was just last Saturday Central Iowa awoke to actual temperatures of -17.
