A Woman's Worth

Anywhere from $12.1 million to $23.97 million, for CommieTommie Harkin, according to the Omaha World Herald.

Harkin's largest asset is his wife Ruth.

Thanks to her success in in the corporate world. The senator’s estimated wealth jumped by more than 500 percent between 2004 and 2010, from $3 million to $17 million.

Currently, Ruth, has three sets of stocks each worth more than $1 million: Conoco Phillips, Phillips 66 and United Technologies Corp. The couple also own a vacation home in the Bahamas worth between $500,000 and $1 million.

Hence, the secondary nickname of Tommie Bahama.

Ruth Harkin earned more than $1,000 in salary from ConocoPhillips, United Technologies Corp. and National Toll Road.

I'm sure well more than $1,000 and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Most of the assets reported by the Harkins have been made possible by Ruth’s private-sector work. He views their life partnership as crucial to his own career, but his policy and political views are his own, as are hers. His policy views have not been guided by personal financial interests. Nor have his actions as a Senator, or information gained as a Senator, guided business dealings.

"Yeah, sure".

CommieTommie will certainly leave CONgress richer that when he entered.

Man of the People

CommieTommie Harkin continues to see his finacial assets increase, at least doubled, from the previous year. The Ragister requested copies of disclosure forms members of Congress are required to file. The forms were filed Monday, but won't be released until June. These financial disclosure forms have many limitations. Members are not asked to list the exact value of their holdings but rather just a range. Neither the value of personally occupied homes nor spouses' salaries have to be reported. CommieTommie's assets rose from an estimated range of $4.8 million to $9.9 million, an increase from the previous year when their holdings were valued at a range of $1.9 million to $3.83 million. At this rate he'll soon be right up there with Uncle Fidel's estimated $900 million. Harkin's largest assets are held by his wife Ruth, a former top official with United Technologies Corp. who sits on the board of directors of ConocoPhillips, an oil and gas company. The disclosure forms show that Ruth Harkin held stock with a value of more than $1 million in United Technologies and received dividends and capital gains profits of more than $1 million from that stock, and also sold some of the stock. She also holds stock in ConocoPhillips with a value of $250,000 to $500,000. OIL MONEY? Where's the outrage from other fiberal dummycrats? Of course there's never been any outrage about CommieTommie's home in the Bahamas either! There's a real common man!

Junk Food Junkie

CommieTommie Harkin is calling the producers of "Shrek the Third" "totally irresponsible" to allow the lovable green ogre to promote sugary, high-fat food...

"It's damaging to our kids' health, damaging to our entire country."

"I think people have to start understanding Shrek maybe really is an ogre."

He does understand its a cartoon, right?

I'm a junk food junkie

Good Lord have pity on me.

I was going to say I pity the fool, Harkin, but the fools are once again the Dummycrats and the scientific community is united in that fact.

In the grand tradition of the Kennedy's, the Clinton's, the Gore's, John Kerry and John Edwards.

CommieTommie Harkin is the richest member of the Iowa Congressional delegation!

Harkin and his wife, Ruth, hold between $5 million and $10 million in assets.

The common man of the people earns a nice income from sucking on the taxpayers teat, but being a modern man he lives off his wife.

Harkin's wife, Ruth, a lawyer and member of the state Board of Regents, is a former government relations executive with United Technologies Corp., and she reported more than $1 million in dividends and capital gains from stock she held in the company. She also is on the board of oil giant Conoco Phillips Corp. and holds between $500,000 and $1 million in stock in that company.

OIL MONEY...That BASTARD!

Does he still have his home in the Bahamas? or is it Bermuda? I forget.

A Po' Boy ain't nothing but a sandwich!

I'm a junk food junkie

Good Lord have pity on me.

A Rose For His Baby, Ruth?

CommieTommie Harkin has come to the rescue of his wife, Ruth Harkin.

“In 44 years of marriage — and I’m very proud Ruth has been county attorney and has been the only woman county attorney in Iowa, did a lot of work here in the federal government, and she was quite successful in the private sector — and through all those years, not one person has accused my wife of being unethical. I can say unequivocally she never has been, and is not to this day, doing anything unethical.”

If anybody knows anything about being unethical, it's the former Vietnam combat fighter pilot, CommieTommie and the scientific community is united in that fact.

What do you call an ethical lawyer?

An oxymoron.

I'm thinking that Johnson County Attorney Janet Lyness might take offense to the "has been the only woman county attorney in Iowa" comment.

That's It, I Quit, I'm Moving On

In the depths of a cold Iowa winter, the sun is shining a lot brighter this day and the wind doesn't blow nearly so cold.

Tom Harkin, Iowa’s powerful Democratic U.S. senator, won’t seek re-election in two years

CommieTommie Harkin decided to call it quits, saying he made his decision a couple nights, after all the grandkids had gone to sleep and he was climbing into bed for the night with his wife, Ruth.

TOO MUCH INFO, Tommie and the scientific community is united in that fact.

CommieTommie continued -- one of his top reasons for retiring is to give himself  more time with Ruth. “I’m going to learn to dance".

Don't expect to see Tommie Bahama on Dancing With The Stars as he takes up the Bahamian Quadrille and the Heel and Toe Polka.

So long to St. Thomas of Equine Ass and his steak fry.

Or, I should say, Dasvidania Comrade.

A Pictures worth?

I first mentioned on September 17, before his pin problem, that Barry Obambi didn't put his hand over his heart during the national anthem.

The national media finally made mention of it.

From Time magazine's coverage of CommieTommie's steak fry...

Respect
Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.

I said Barry needed to SHOW some repect, back on October 5, and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The NewsBusters blog added their touch too...

During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. -- United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171

...all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes... --Barack Obama 2004 Democrat National Convention

Hard of hearing?

I can't wait for Obama's socialized health care, because I got a call from Ruth Harkin last night and I swear I heard her say...I know a thing or two about erections.

I figured that must be true because her husband, CommieTommie is such a

Who screws up on a regular basis and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Hear Harkin

CommieTommie Harkin told some fellow Iowans it's too early to cut spending, given that the economy is still fragile, but "that time is coming".

With the U.S. on track for another $1 trillion-plus deficit, I think we've long passed that time and the scientific community is united in that fact.

CommieTommie continued...

"Republicans will have to vote for new revenues, and Democrats will have to vote for major cuts in spending, and those who will not do so, well, they're just not serious about addressing deficit spending".

Just a thought, but how about taking a scalpel or an axe, depending on what is needed to the budget -- NOW!

Many private economists are forecasting that the deficit for this year will come in around $1.3 trillion, which would still be the second-highest deficit in history. It would be down only slightly from last year's all-time high of $1.4 trillion.

My mistake, Dummycrats are serious about addressing deficit spending.

In other developments, CommieTommie blew a gasket over the Gulf oil spill...

And let’s stop calling this a spill. A spill is something that happens to milk.”

Let's call it a Harkin (i.e. a major eff up).

CommieTommie then calls out BP, "...the worst actors in the oil industry”.

CommieTommie could stand to benefit financially if the third largest energy company goes down the tubes, as his wife (Ruth) is on the Board of Directors of the fifth largest energy corporation.

Two Dollars

I perused the contributions the Big Lug Nut received from various entities.

I found the usual suspects that donate to Dummycrat candidates, but a few donations to the Chet Culver Campaign (CCC) stood out to me.

Big Oil's Ruth Harkin gave $5,000.

Rob Tully was responsible for a $1,000 contribution.

One time CONgressman Tony Coehlo gave what is listed as two checks of $1,000 each, but $1,000 was later refunded as it was an online contribution that was processed twice...OOPS!

Phil Roeder is a cheap bastard, and the scientific community is united in that fact, having only sent $100 after all the BLN's done for him and the money he's made off the tit of the taxpayer.

The Honorable(?) Patrick J. Murphy gave $50 (see Phil Roeder).

Onetime Ragister reporter/columnist Eliot Nusbaum chipped in $100.

President(?) John D. Brademas gave $500.

Dude you were last President of New York University in 1992, let it go.

On April 28, the CCC did a Pass The Hat and netted $2!

They would have had a bigger total taking back Culver's bottles from his double-fisting.

Good to know

Dummycrats and the Iowa State Fair seem to fit well together, both freak shows and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Their candidates are always late there too.

In 2004 people waited outside in the cold rain for over an hour for Kerry/Edwards.

Last night the Clinton's were an hour late and Hellary shared too much information...

"And I'm thrilled to finally find something in politics that I'm doing that my husband didn't do."

I guess that means she received oral sex from the fat female intern too.

Hellary received a couple of endorsement's yesterday.

In Iowa, Ruth Harkin (wife of CommieTommie who remains neutered, oops neutral).

In in Philadelphia, Mayor John Street.

It was just last week that Mayor Street was chastised for waiting inline to buy an iPhone.

Larry West (write in mayoral candidate)..."How can you sit here with 200 murders in the city already?"

Street replied, "I'm doing my job."

West responded, "In this climate, at this time in this city, you shouldn't be waiting in line for a phone."

Commie And The Jets

I noticed this story in Wednesday's Ragister.

Rally in Iowa to support makers of corporate jets

The entire Iowa Congressional delegation, with the exception of CommieTommie Harkin and Dave No Sack...err Loebsack, were going to attend.

Apparently, invitations to the event were extended to the entire delegation in the first week of June.

I'm guessing No Sack was a No Show because he's losing Cedar Rapids and Linn County where Rockwell Collins Flight Operations Center are located.

As for CommieTommie, Harkin recently railed against corporate jet owners in his opposition to the recent debt ceiling increase.

It would be hypocritical of the former combat fighter pilot...err ferry pilot to be there, although he doesn't have a problem with his wife Ruth riding in them, and the scientific community is united in that fact, unless it goes skidding off the runway.

Dig a little deeper in the well boys

Another Dummycrat was indicted in the long going Central Iowa Employment and Training (CIETC) fiasco.

Victor Scaglione is alleged to have lied to a grand jury about drinking and gambling by CIETC employees while on the clock, usually Friday afternoons at Prairie Meadows.

Scaglione received nearly $30,000 in bonuses from his employer.

With all the insidious episodes of incest you'd think we were in Arkansas.

Scaglione used to work in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election office.

Mauro is now Iowa Secretary of State.

Mauro's son Steve worked for CIETC and also received bonuses.

Ramona Cunningham, former CIETC Head Skank and pictured with CommieTommie Harkin who said he never met Cunningham, contributed $300 to Michael Mauro's campaign for Secretary of State.

Cunningham's daughter, Ruth Shepard, was employed in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election Office.

Mauro's brother John was on the Board of Director's for CIETC.

I feel dirty, yet ripping off the taxpayer is standard operating procedure for the Dummycrats and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I saw on TV that CIETC wants Scaglione to come back to work.

I guess that makes sense, today is Friday.

See you at the Meadows, I'll drink to that.
