For an administration (Obama/Biden) so worried about outsourcing/offshoring, what have they done to halt it?

Nothing, and the scientific community is united in that fact, per this Los Angeles Times 2010 article --

In addition, Obama's Justice Department sued to halt AT&T's purchase of T-Mobile USA, even though AT&T announced that it would repatriate 5,000 call-center jobs to the United States that had been outsourced overseas if the takeover had gone through.

The 2009 Recovery Act, that CONgress passed at the urging of President Obama, made funds available for wind energy projects, the vast majority of which were used primarily to create jobs overseas.

Obama/Biden brag about saving the American Auto Industry (GM), but this is how the auto bailout will work. American taxpayers pump tens of billions into rescuing General Motors from bankruptcy. Then GM pays us back by shipping more jobs overseas--the equivalent of four assembly plants.

In his recent Iowa visit, Biden mentioned the GM plant that closed in his home state of Delaware.

Through an Air Force contract, the Obama regime has been trying its best to outsource important national security jobs to a foreign entity in Brazil that has ties to the Iranian government.

Also, Obama did outsource oil drilling jobs to Brazil too, at US taxpayer expense no less.

Obama's own campaign spent nearly $4,700 on telemarketing services from a Canadian telemarketing company and paid a call center in Manila, Philippines $78,314.10 for telemarketing services.

Obama is the real “outsourcer in chief”, especially with our money.

The last I knew it went with "full of life" which for members of their art department is more accurate and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Outsourcing Leaves Some Des Moines Register Employees Without Jobs

I must have missed their coverage of this, but not WHO/TV13.

It's not new to the newspaper industry, I blogged about it last May.

The Ragister's ads are going to be created in India.

I am thinking it is already being done with the ad I saw that misspelled Daytona two weeks ago.

I'm betting the Ragister has ran editorials critical of other companies shipping jobs overseas.

This wouldn't happen under Barry's Patriot Act.

With jobs here or there we still lose as long as Rekha's writing for them.

The Undisputed Truth?

It's no surprise that RekHA Basu wouldn't agree with Paul Ryan.

Accusing him of being prone to lying is tacky, especially when her column is full of half truths and lies she alleges of Ryan.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

First Basu blames the Ryan budget for $700 Billion in cuts to Medicare, but doesn't note that Ryan merely preserved Obamacare’s cuts to Medicare.

RekHA references the Washington Post reporting Obama’s “cuts” didn’t come from Medicare beneficiaries, but from health care providers.

But the chief actuary for the program has written, that under Obamacare “Medicare prices for hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health, hospice, ambulatory surgical center, diagnostic laboratory, and many other services would be less than half of their level under the prior law.” Without changes the actuary predicted “severe problems with beneficiary access.” In other words, though seniors might have the same benefits on paper, fewer providers will accept Medicare, so they’ll have less access in practice.

Secondly, RekHA rips Ryan for reminding voters Obama allowed a General Motors plant in Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wis., to be closed after vowing to protect it.

Basu states the plant was locked up during George W. Bush’s presidency.

NOT TRUE!

In December 2008 GM idled production of GM SUVs at the Janesville plant. Medium-duty truck assembly continued.

In April 2009, four months after Obama was inaugurated, GM idled production of medium-duty trucks.

Obama, as the Commander in Chief of Government Motors, could have saved the plant and kept it open for “another hundred years” like he twice promised the community.

Then we find out that four months after it closed, GM entered into a “50-50 joint venture” with China FAW Group Corp., one of China’s largest automakers. GM’s cash influx helped boost FAW’s efforts to expand its light duty commercial vehicles and SUV manufacturing.

Holy Outsourcing Obama!

Basu also blasts Ryan for serving on the Simpson-Bowles Commission Obama had appointed and voting against its urgent report.

Ryan did vote against the plan because it increased taxes and didn’t repeal Obamacare.

That's okay in my book...my pocketbook.

If the media are just impartial guardians of the truth, how come they get so many facts wrong?

That certainly didn't take long!

Not even a week into their return to power and promise of a new day, the Dummycrats have departed from two areas of their agenda....

House Democrats campaigned on a promise to implement the recommendations of the September 11 commission, but now say they will not enact all of them.

The recommendation to place all intelligence agencies under the Defense Department "is not on the table," said Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat.

Another obstacle to enacting all the commission reforms as promised is the formula by which federal anti-terrorism money is distributed across the country.

House Democrats are confident they can pass a bill in which funds would be distributed based on risk.

...Another recommendation unlikely to be fully implemented is tasking one House committee with the responsibility of overseeing both intelligence operations and funding.

Now they won't be working a full 5 day week either...

Democrats ran to expand the work week in the House to 5 days.

"Culture Shock on Capitol Hill: House to Work 5 Days a Week" front-paged the WASHINGTON POST in December.

Majority leader Steny Hoyer said members of the House will be expected in the Capitol for votes each week by 6:30 p.m. Monday and will finish their business about 2 p.m. Friday.

Explained the POST: "Forget the minimum wage. Or outsourcing jobs overseas. The labor issue most on the minds of members of Congress yesterday was their own: They will have to work five days a week starting in January."

A Hoyer press release obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT boldly declares: "Monday, January 8, 2007: The House is not in session."
