Power Windows?

Lt. Governor Patty Judge was all excited about her ride in a plug-in hybrid electric car owned by Consumer Energy.

"This project is really very interesting and cool."

So cool that the Iowa Power Fund gave them a $19,000 grant in May 2009 to study it.

Because?

"This is the future."

The future is not a 2008 Toyota Prius Patty, and the scientific community is united in that fact.

What has Consumer Energy learned in nearly two years of study?

The plug-in battery used in the vehicle does not work well in the cold.

Very interesting!

Troll Doll Jingle

The troll that is the Lieutenant Governor, Patty Judge, got her shots in at Terry Branstad's pick of Kim Reynolds for the post.

Patty Judge paints Branstad running mate as a rookie

"This is an extremely complex job...It will take a lot of study on Kim’s part.”

Babysitting the Big Lug Nut has to be a handful and the scientific community is united in that fact.

How hard can it really be to challenge Iowans to lose weight every year, which your fat ass boss doesn't take part, or visit the state's tourist attractions with Travel Iowa?

We Gotta Get You A Woman

Jean Lloyd-Jones, a Democratic former state senator from Iowa City and Maggie Tinsman, a Republican former state senator from Bettendorf are co-founders of 50-50 in 2020.

These two issued a press release urging both Republicans and Democrats to nominate women from their parties to fill vacancies that may open up in Congress, such as the seat currently occupied by CommieTommie Harkin.

In the release were 10 potential Iowa candidates: Des Moines attorney Roxanne Conlin, a Democrat; Iowa Economic Development Director Debi Durham, a Republican; Des Moines City Councilwoman Chris Hensley, a Republican; Iowa Senate President Pam Jochum, a Democrat; former Lt. Gov. Patty Judge, a Democrat; former U.S. Ambassador Mary Kramer, a Republican; former Lt Gov. Sally Pederson, a Democrat; current Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, a Republican; Iowa House Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer, a Republican; and former Iowa First Lady Christie Vilsack, a Democrat.

Jean Lloyd-Jones said in the statement, “Since Iowa is one of four states which has never elected a woman to Congress, this seems like a good opportunity to rid ourselves of that dubious distinction.”

Dubious are some of the ladies on your list and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Rozanne, err Taxanne Conlin is already a two time loser, Patty Judge folded early in the 2006 Dummycrat Governor primary and then teamed up with the Big Lug Nut, Chris Hensley can't get elected Mayor of Des Moines and Christie Vilsack just got her hat handed to her by Steve King.

Step outside in some arctic temperatures and chill.

The goal should be electing qualified women, not just quota women.

Manly YES

This is Denise O'Brien, Dummycrat for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.

Ms. O'Brien is obviously a graduate of the Patty Judge School of Feminity.

This is Patty Judge, current Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and Dummycrat for Lt. Governor, she enjoys being a girl!

Men At Work?

Dave Price reports that both the Big Lug Nut and Patty Judge finally found work.

Each is starting their own consulting firm.

Those that can -- do, those who can't --consult.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

I remember consultants from my radio days, we joked that they were like neutered tom cats.

Culver's company is called The Chet Culver Group, because he's so large he's a group unto himself.

Judge went with PJJ solutions.

Price tactfully points out the errors on their web pages.

Especially telling is the Judge website, where the finalist for Executive Director of the Iowa Association of School Boards misspells achieve.

Also, Page 4 is a blank page that's titled "blank page" with the call us at phone number of (415) 555-5555.

Eat Up

The tradition continues as this is the 32nd time I have not attended CommieTommie's steak fry.

Not being a Harkinista and believing one shouldn't fry steak, I hold my own steak grilling as a protest.

Beans and weenies have been added to the dummycrat menu as Al Franken-furter will be the headline ass, err act.

I'm sure Staci Appel-sauce for brains will also be there.

This has all the makings of an unhealthy menu, especially for America and the scientific community is united in that fact.

CommieTommie is pictured asking how large a steak the Big Lug Nut can eat.

Culver chuckles knowing that's too small.

Patty Judge is nearly in tears realizing there'll be nothing left after her boss gets through the line.

Acts Of Man?

The Paycheck Fairness Act couldn't muster the votes for passage in the Dummycrat controlled Senate.

CommieTommie Harkin spoke in support of the bill, but in a less than stunning development, Harkin has a 23.2% “gender pay gap” in his office.

That means the Iowa Dummycrat pays men 23.2% more than the women in his office.

You won't read that in the Ragister and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Female Dummycrat Senators aren't so into sisterhood either, as female members of  Patty Murray’s (Washington) staff made about $21,000 less per year than male staffers in 2011, a difference of 35.2%.

Minnesota's Amy Klobuchar has a "gender pay gap" of 29.7% and Barbara Boxer's female staffers made about $5,000 less, a difference of 7.3 percent.

As usual, CONgress would probably be exempt from adhering to any such fairness legislation.

In Case You Missed It

It was under reported in recent news, but Lt. Governor Patty Judge attended the ribbon-cutting for the grand opening of the new Go Daddy offices in Hiawatha.

There apparently was some sort of wardrobe malfunction during the ceremony.

It didn't involve Danica Patrick, unfortunately, and the scientific community is united in that fact.

SHUDDER!

One would think since she didn't take a 10% pay cut that she could afford better clothes.

The Donkey Serenade?

Focusing forward to the 2012 elections, Our friend Cal (Freedom's pal) sent us a link to Texas Congressional candidate Roger Williams' video The Donkey Whisperer.

Williams knows a thing or two about donkeys as Roger and his wife, Patty, first took them in from an older gentleman who had several he could no longer care for.

Over the years, the Williams' have adopted more donkeys, and the herd has multiplied into the dozens who star in the video.

Roger Williams has competition on the Republican side for the brand new district, Texas 33, but the only announced Dummycrat is so far playing to character and the scientific community is united in that fact.

David De La Paz calls himself a a Green Dog Democrat who believes the key to America’s future economic growth and stability lies in our ability to become energy independent by going green as big as possible. While climate change is real and dangerous, the world wide depletion of our natural energy resources are approaching crisis level. The sooner we green our economy, the better our future becomes.

De La Paz also supports the President and believes Obama needs partners in Congress; partners committed not to special interests or fanatical idealogy.

No special interests or fanatical ideology from Obama...NONE!

If he believes that, De La Paz is The SPAZ!

Which Is It?

Does it take no brains or bigger balls to be Senator Chris Dodd (D-CON)?

Dodd wants to tax AIG bonus recipients in an effort for the government get back some of the $450 million paid out.

Sounds great until you realize that Dodd...

added an executive-compensation restriction to the bill. That amendment provides an “exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009,” which exempts the very AIG bonuses Dodd and others are seeking to tax.

And...

Dodd was AIG’s largest single recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org.

Plus...

One of AIG Financial Products’ largest offices is based in Connecticut.

It's what you've come to expect from the man who helped bring us Countrywide Financial, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Here's a little tidbit for St. Patty's Day...

This guy should go the way of the Dodo bird and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Talk about someone who should be committing Harakiri.

For the record I think he has more balls than brains.

I Never Said I Was Deep

Like her former boss, the Big Lug Nut, onetime Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge has taken to the campaign trail for President Obama.

Unlike the BLN, Judge has not been able to secure a high paying job ($100,000 a year) from Obama, so she'll be traveling the state as a volunteer for his re-election bid.

Talk about your war on women and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Judge is part of the Women for Obama steering committee in the state and says --

"I think he's a good president, and he's got a lot of accomplishments, and he's going to have more".

WOW, that's hardly convincing.

You (Ha Ha Ha)

I recently received a fundraising letter from Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey.

I was just about to send a contribution, when I see who wants to be his competition -- Sherrie Taha.

Taha, pictured with her only vote and the scientific community is united in that fact,  is in the tradition of Patty Judge and Denise O'Brien and appears to be on the similar wavelength of the last Dummycrat nominee --Francis Thicke.

Another sacrificial lamb.

Off The Mark

Coming up a little short, Nancy Pelosi gestures for a $4 Foot Long.

It's either that or, as the second picture shows, 4 is her I.Q.

I love the look on Patty Judge's face, like she can't believe this woman is The Speaker.

Most people with a brain feel the same way and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Especially in lieu of comments, or beliefs, like this one about CONgress...

"...the creation of jobs, which is our responsibility..."

BUZZ--WRONG!

Smooth

The Des Moines Register has the exclusive on the Big Lug Nut's campaign manager quitting after three months.

That comes a little more than a week after Lt. Governor Patty Judge publicly wondered if she's going to be on the ticket in 2010.

The BLN is running his campaign as well as he's running the state and the scientific community is united in that fact.

M-O-N-E-Y

Two jobs in two months for Patty Judge.

First her own consulting business, PJJ solutions, and now finance director for House Democrats.

It was this kind of a job creation record that sent the Culver-Judge administration down to defeat and the scientific community is united in that fact.

At least Kevin McCarthy doesn't have to worry about Judge skimming funds for a fashionable wardrobe.

PJJ solutions?

PJs might be a better solution.

No finance
No romance

Is that their new campaign slogan?

That's m-o-n-e-y baby
M-o-n-e-y

Ten Percent?

Showing up her boss, the Big Lug Nut, Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge never took a 10% cut in her $103,212 tax payer paid salary.

Some top Iowa officials didn't accept cut in salary

Secretary of State Michael Mauro also didn't take a cut in his $103,212 tax payer paid salary, but he expects people to feel sorry for him...

"I've been in this job going on for about four years, and there's been no increase." This isn't a case where we've been greedy. There's been no increase. Not a cent."

It's an office he sought and is seeking re-election for and it's a bump up from the position he held as auditor for Polk County.

It looks like Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald has been in office so long that he doesn't care, which explains why he didn't cut his $103,212 tax payer paid salary.

"...I don't work for the governor. I work for the people of Iowa."

Hopefully not much longer and the scientific community is united in that fact.

It must be a coincidence that all are Dummycrats.

It took a while to clear up the BLN's 10% pay cut, but I still think he's going to have some problems with the tax authorities.

UpChuck?

Here are the reported highlights(?) of Vice President Joe Biden's appearance in Cedar Rapids for the Big Lug Nut.

Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge --“Some days we succeed, Some days we don’t but we keep trying”.

That will get votes.

First Lady Mari Culver -- "If you’re not pumped now, you’re not pump-able".

Her hubby's already over-inflated and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The Veep -- “I’ve known Chet — I hate to admit this — since he was seven years old, sitting in my front lawn in Wilmington, Delaware with his dad and mom...".

Makes you wonder why, after knowing someone for roughly 37 years, he called him Chuck Culver.

Back in 2007 Biden called CommieTommie Harkin, Harkins and that was after 22 years of knowing him.

"...Folks who live it, who smell it, who taste it, who know it...".

I believe Biden is referring to the BLN there, although he could be talking about Cedar Rancid - the City of 5 Smells.

Biden went off on a man crush when he described Culver with -- "This big guy with broad shoulders...from belt-buckle to shoe sole..."

Conveniently leaving out the girth of his gut.

Biden also had Culver wading "into the water, to make things happen...he tried to rescue and save his fellow Iowans".

Biden even quoted John Wayne, "Tomorrow is the most important thing in life, comes into us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands and it hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday”.

I'll close with John Wayne too --“Life is hard; it's harder if you're stupid.”

RenewaBULL

The Big Lug Nut told a Dummycrat district convention yesterday, that he's proud...that Iowa now leads the nation in renewable energy.

That's interesting because on April 6 he told the Iowa Alliance for Wind Innovation and Novel Design symposium, “In Iowa, our goal is to lead the nation in renewable energy.

On April 9, per his office, it was an ongoing mission to establish Iowa as a leader in renewable energy.

Wait --His Lt. Governor, Patty Judge, told Iowans, during her inaugural speech in January 2007, she is still amazed that Iowa leads the nation in renewable energy.

So, we were #1 before the BLN took office, then we lost it for a period of time and got it back just 2 1/2 weeks ago?

It's time for these All-American Rejects to leave when The Wind Blows and the scientific community is united in that fact.

No Sweat?

The Ragister's Iowa Ear mentioned the National Guard jacket Governor Big Lug Nut has been wearing lately.

They opined it gives him...

A place to hide Patty Judge.

FATTY Judge?

Hardly.

They listed a half a dozen or more reasons, including...

A sweat stain cover.

Could that be it?

We're SURE and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Famous For Nothing

Shame on Pat Murphy(Dummycrat/Dubuque) for not speaking out about the rowdiness of the peanut gallery, in the Iowa House balconies, during last week's collective bargaining vote.

Iowa House approves union bill; it is likely dead on arrival in the Senate [video]

Murphy was as silent as the House switchboard on a Friday, and the scientific community is united in that fact, when his political allies screamed “shame” and erupted in applause and cheers.

It was nearly two years ago when the then Speaker had troopers escort citizens out of the House galleries for what he described as a lack of decorum.

At the time Murphy said, “This is not an athletic event where you cheer for the home team and you jeer and boo against people you don’t agree with.”

Unlike the collective bargaining bill, the elimination of federal tax deductibility actually had a chance of passage by the Legislature.

Maybe this St. Patty's week, Murphy can douse his Irish temper.
