The Big Lug Nut's Chief of Staff made news with a Dummycrat hit job on John McCain.

said the governor was concerned that McCain's trip would divert local law enforcement from the flood recovery effort to provide security for McCain.

"As a courtesy — and as we did for Senator Obama — we privately made an effort to make sure that Senator McCain knew that state and local resources were still being deployed to support the flood fight and that now may not be the best time for a campaign trip," Dillon said in a statement.

That would have been true for last week in an underwater Cedar Rapids.

This week they even had time for a wedding in Columbus Junction, where McCain visited.

If the Mayor and the Sheriff have time to get involved in the wedding, then it was more like a diversion rather than diverted.

Turns out that was correct as, per Politico, the Mayor didn't have a problem ...

"Certainly, Mr. McCain's visit today in no way hindered any relief efforts or any of our efforts on recovery or security or whatever we were working on," [Dan] Wilson said. He said McCain's staff called him Wednesday night and Thursday to be sure the visit would not cause a problem.

McCain's camp noted he provided much of his own security.

Politico also notes the political background of Dildo, err Dillon...

Dillon is not just a state government functionary. He's an experienced political operative who ran Culver's gubernatorial campaign in 2006 and worked on John Edwards's 2004 caucus effort. In other words, he knows what he's doing.

Obama is getting killed on the margins in the rural counties, with Clinton taking as much as 75% of the vote in rural counties in the center and the southwest of the state.

Politico may be smarting over an article about "stupid voters".

The article quotes a member of the Democratic polling firm Public Policy Polling who admits, “The first lesson you learn as a pollster is that people are stupid...".

These know it all's are slamming Republican voters.

Those aren't strengths, especially in northwest Iowa.

Politico reported that Vilsack also been huddling with several Democratic operatives to plot a potential campaign, including veteran media consultant John Lapp and Teresa Vilmain, who headed up Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary campaign in the state.

Again, not a strength as Hellary finished third, behind Obama and Joanie Phony.

Politco caught Barry in a lie and he's lying about it.

The issue involves a survey filled out during Barry's first political run.

...his aides said he “never saw or approved” the questionnaire.

They asserted the responses were filled out by a campaign aide who “unintentionally mischaracterize(d) his position."

But a Politico examination determined that Obama was actually interviewed about the issues on the questionnaire by the liberal Chicago non-profit group that issued it. And it found that Obama – the day after sitting for the interview – filed an amended version of the questionnaire, which appears to contain Obama’s own handwritten notes adding to one answer.

Through an aide, Obama, who won the group’s endorsement as well as the statehouse seat, did not dispute that the handwriting was his. But he contended it doesn’t prove he completed, approved – or even read – the latter questionnaire.

Not only is he lying, but he's stupid and he's counting on the voting public to be that way too and the scientific community is united in that fact!

Earlier this month the White House announced they would "pivot" to jobs.








Yesterday, a senior administration official said President Obama will give a major speech in early September to unveil new ideas for speeding up job growth.

Why the delay?

Well the President does have that 11 day vacation coming up in Martha's Vineyard and then there's Labor Day weekend.

The press has picked up on the jobs "pivot" pattern -- For the last two and a half years here as the White House correspondent for ABC News, it feels like every couple of months I am reporting that the White House is announcing that they are pivoting to a jobs agenda...Jake Tapper.

Politico says -- the jobs agenda is something President Obama "has tried to resurrect at least a half-dozen times in the past two years."

Let me put this in basketball terms, since that's President's game, a player that slow in the pivot would find his butt on the bench and the scientific community is united in that fact.

...The Global Warming Petition Project urges Washington to reject the Kyoto international global warming pact as there is "no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate." So far, The Politico reports, more than 31,000 scientists have signed it.

Snow Job

House Speaker Nancy Pa-LOSER couldn't attend yesterday's Gore-BULL warming protest (Good Timing) because her flight was delayed by a snowstorm.

CONgressman Ed Ma-LAR-key (D-Mass) chair of the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming didn't make it either.

A few others took a snow day.

Someone named Kat wrote on the Climate Action web site..."I don't want to travel in the snow today. However, I am donating my bail money to fight mountaintop removal."
