The White House is in a snit over complaints of President Obama's leisure time activities while the Gulf Coast remains under siege.

Obama's spokesmonkey doesn't “think that there’s a person in this country that doesn’t think that their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind” and having time to himself "probably does us all good."

Normally I wouldn't care, but I'm not the one who stated at the start of this fiasco...

"I'm not going to rest...until the leak is stopped at the source, the oil on the Gulf is contained and cleaned up and the people of this region are able to go back to their lives and their livelihoods."

Obama is the one who set the bar that high and now not to measure up is a grave disservice to those in the Gulf and the Country as a whole.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

He better be praying that the relief wells work, because the worst case scenario pegs it at two to nearly four years for all the oil to leak from the field if it can't be stopped.

Guaranteeing him a lot more time to play golf, while the next President handles the situation.

Killing time between golf games and vacations, President Obama told some gathered in Milwaukee that his Grandfather helped teach him about what being a hard-working American is all about.

That's a good one, he must be working on a stand up comedy routine.

The President continued with -- "I am going to keep fighting every single day, every single hour, every single minute, to turn this economy around and put people back to work and renew the American Dream, not just for your family, not just for all our families, but for future generations. That I can guarantee you".

The press must have missed the part that started, Stop me if you've heard this one before.

Obama in January on the economy -- We will not rest until we build an economy that's ready for America's future".

Since January, Obama's had about 22 vacation days and he's played roughly 50 rounds of golf since taking office in 2009.

James Brown has been dead since Christmas Day 2006 and he works harder than Obama and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Don't forget Obama on the gulf oil spill -- "I'm not going to rest...until the leak is stopped at the source" and catching terrorists --'We will not rest' until air terror plotters caught.

President Obama tells us there is no "silver bullet” or “quick fix”, but he's been in office for 3 years.

“You shouldn’t have to accept any more excuses as to why it can’t be done”.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

One quick fix would be for the EPA to allow one single blend of gasoline instead of the reformulated gasoline blends during April through September.

Not only does the fuel costs more to produce, but the reformulated fuel sold during the summer months doesn’t provide purchasers with the same mileage as winter blends. Therefore, more fuel has to be purchased to drive the same miles.

The U.S. is the only country in the world that places a majority of its territorial waters off-limits to oil and gas exploration, the U.S. should at the very least be drilling in the areas where access is permitted.

Obama is also blocking access to 19 billion barrels of oil in the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and the eastern Gulf of Mexico, another 10 billion barrels estimated in the Chukchi Sea off the Alaskan coast, and another 10 billion barrels of oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve.

Instead, the Obama administration has supported oil drilling off the shore of Brazil and we’re aiding Mexico in offshore drilling.

Obama could have the the Departments of Interior and Energy end the bureaucratic delays on drilling permits, delays that have doubled under Obama, which ultimately adds to the price of gas at the pump.

Oil and gas royalties are the federal government’s #2 source of revenue, after the income tax. Offshore slowdowns hurt not only industry and jobs, but government revenue.

CommieTommie Harkin told some fellow Iowans it's too early to cut spending, given that the economy is still fragile, but "that time is coming".

With the U.S. on track for another $1 trillion-plus deficit, I think we've long passed that time and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Offshore drilling of Texas and Louisiana is credited with...

creating jobs, bolstering state revenues and perpetuating a vibrant social structure in coastal communities. Revenue from mineral leases in the Gulf of Mexico go into Texas' $25 billion permanent school fund. They generated $51.9 million in fiscal 2007.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration has domestic reserves at 75 billion barrels of oil.

Enough to replace every barrel of non-North American imports (Canada & Mexico) for 22 years.

Don't look to the Dummycrats for help, their solution has been to sue OPEC and stop adding to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

That's worked WELL and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Now they're taking a page out of the Maxine Waters playbook to socialize, err nationalize oil refineries.

Then they won’t let us drill offshore or in Alaska.

A few minutes later a Juarez boy, 17, tried to go through with 83 pounds. Finally, at 10:40 p.m., an El Paso boy, 17, was caught with 122 pounds. With an estimated value of $1,000 a pound, the pot confiscated in the arrests was worth a total of about $374,000, authorities say.

The number of children being arrested trying to smuggle illegal drugs across the border continues to rise, according to new numbers released by the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

Federal officials told 10News that every time the violence subsides in Tijuana, more young drug mules are arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border. They said they are seeing more instances of harder drugs and more young teenage girls being recruited locally to smuggle those drugs across the border.

Photos obtained by 10News show teens who have recently been arrested trying to cross into San Diego with illegal drugs strapped to their bodies and hidden inside their cars.

In 2011, 190 juveniles -- ranging from 13 to 18 years old -- were arrested. That is a 13 percent increase from 2010. Thirty-three arrests have been made so far this year.

The story states, Cartels have also begun recruiting kids to work, often as mules.

There are no official statistics about underage mules. But according to U.S. Customs and Immigration, in the past three years, the number of kids under 18 caught carrying drugs over the border increased tenfold.

"They strap the drugs either to their legs, their back, their chest, groin area. Anywhere they can tape them, they'll tape them," Preciado says. "We've found mostly marijuana, but we have found heroin, methamphetamines, and some cocaine."

a string of recent cases in Arizona where juveniles have been arrested trying to smuggle drugs into the United States. While luring teens to act as drug mules for a few hundred bucks is not a new practice, the Tucson sector of the US-Mexico border – the nation's busiest – has seen an alarming jump in the past two years.

In 2012, 244 minors faced drug-smuggling charges in the Tucson sector, compared with 122 in 2011. By the end of this May, the number was already 154.

Moreover, all along the border, officials say minors are increasingly being used to traffic hard drugs such as methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine, not just marijuana, as was mostly the case in the past.

At the ports of entry and interior checkpoints, border authorities are encountering teens who strap drugs to their abdomen, inner thighs, and other body parts.

Investigators have seen children as young as 12 act as drug mules, although most usually are between the ages of 15 and 18

As part of their effort to mitigate the damage, in a picture that only appears out of focus, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Vice President Joe Biden work on a theory of diluting the oil with water unleashed via the latest Super Soaker technology.


















"...does this administration maintain a constant sense of urgency about this, and are we examining every recommendation, every idea that's out there, and making our best judgment as to whether these are the right steps to take, based on the best experts that we know of. And on that answer, the answer is yes -- or on that question, the answer is yes".















Here White House staffers, using their best judgment, examine the beer pong/urine theory to dilute the oil.

It was an idea recommended, via the best experts, from the constant sense of urgency their bladders felt.

The President has been busy with his own experts -- we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

The four people highlighted here would be a good place to start and the scientific community is united in that fact.

With all due respect

I wasn't planning on watching the Republican debate last night, but after Chris went to bed I channel surfed.

I caught the end of Brit Hume's nuke scenario and torture, or enhanced interrogation techniques.

John McCain was against either, and I will respect the Senator for that.

He went on to say, and I'm paraphrasing, it allows the other side to do that to our armed forces held prisoner.

As a prisoner of the North Vietnamese John McCain was tortured by North Vietnamese soldiers, who bayonetted him in his left foot and groin. His shoulder was crushed by a rifle butt.

McCain was interrogated daily. When he refused to provide any information to his captors, he was beaten until he lost consciousness. McCain received two to three beatings per week .

The North Vietnames employed rigorous and brutal torture methods, which to this day have left him incapable of raising his arms above his head.

I'm not aware of any U.S. torture of North Vietnamese prisoners.

Saddam Hussein's troops tortured and raped American soldiers held prisoner during the first Gulf conflict, we did not return the favor to their troops.

Al Qaeda is an equal opportunity torturer whether you're in the service or civilian.

To me, McCain's reasoning is as old as the Geneva Convention of 1929 or the Marquis of Queensberry rules.

These people don't play by the rules and the scientific community is united in that fact!

Because McCain mentioned that anyone who served in combat is against torture or enhanced interrogation techniques, I'll disclose that I've never served in the military.

His mention of that is meant to place his opinion superior to any others and end debate on the issue.
