Devil Inside?

Our favorite card-carrying socialist, David Goodner, will have to get used to being called "Dumbass", this time by his kid as the Ragister reported he's going to be a DAD.

Are Goodner and his Occupy-err partner Megan Felt going to bring baby up in one of those tents at Itchycoo Park?

Instead of cigars will new Dad David pass around a doobie?

You know they're going to give it one of those effed up peace-a-fist names and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Hopefully, Felt, who’s been arrested about a dozen times, hasn't been fired from her Marketing Coordinator position with Pella Corporation so their kid will have benefits.

I will celebrate that they are keeping the kid, as I'm sure both are pro abortion.

Goodner joined a pro abortion protest in 2008 and was arrested when he interfered with an anti-abortion protest.

In other Occupy-err news an 8 year old who took part in a demonstration yesterday accurately summed up the entire movement with -- “It felt like we made (the signs) for nothing.”

Also yesterday, Occupy-errs further showed their ignorance as they demanded a meeting with Chris Matthews of MSNBC because, “We do not have a free press here. It’s commercial and they’re in the league with the 1%”.

The "free press" they were seeking is owned by Comcast Corporation and GE.

Daniel

If you can't tell from the picture, Ragister reporter Daniel Finney fancies himself funny.

Actually, as in the photo, Daniel misses the obvious and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Finney focused on John Huntsman's statement -- “They pick corn in Iowa, They pick presidents in New Hampshire.” -- for his reporting.

Finney writes -- Actually, neither Iowa nor New Hampshire picks a president alone. They’re the first states in line to pick party nominees. And when it comes to nominees, both states have a similar track record.

I'm no fan of the Tanman, but he said pick President's, not party nominees.

There have been only two contested Iowa Caucus winners go on to win the Presidency, George W. Bush in 2000 and Barack Obama in 2008.

Jimmy Carter doesn't count because he came in second to Uncommitted in 1976.

Six winners of a contested New Hampshire primary have gone on to win the White House; Dwight Eisenhower in 1952, John Kennedy in 1960, Richard Nixon in 1968, Jimmy Carter in 1976, Ronald Reagan in 1980 and George H. W. Bush in 1988.

That makes Finney cornier than Huntsman.

Send Me No More Letters

Without a doubt yesterdays mailings were the most Chris and I have ever received in one day and that includes general elections.

10 mailings were addressed to my wife; 6 from Restore Our Future Inc. and all targeted Newt Gingrich, 3 from Make Us Great Again supporting Rick Perry and 1 from Rick Perry's campaign.

I only received 7 mailings; 3 from Make Us Great Again, 2 from Strong America Now Super PAC, 1 from Rick Perry and 1 from Mitt Romney.

Coupled with the annoying daily phone calls, Caucus Tuesday can't come quickly enough and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Waste

Thomas Sowell does not not specifically name the OWS-errs in his recent Random thoughts on the passing scene, but you get the drift.

When an organization has more of its decisions made by committees, that gives more influence to those who have more time available to attend committee meetings and to drag out each meeting longer.

In other words, it reduces the influence of those who have work to do, and are doing it, while making those who are less productive more influential.

Case in point, the Occupy-errs gathered at their, $1,500 for the week, rented headquarters for four hours (5 p.m to 9 p.m.) and still have to meet back at the East Village office at 10 a.m. Wednesday for protest details.

$1,500 for a rented headquarters?

I certainly hope the the city of Des Moines has upped the $25 per week ante on these idiots for curtailing normal activity at Itchycoo Park.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

That kind of money would feed and care for 531 hungry, homeless and hurting people at Hope Ministries.

Lt. Kent Knopf of the Urbandale Police Department is exactly on point, regarding these mental midgets, when he said --

“It’s a waste of everybody’s energy for what they are trying to accomplish. They think they’re doing something. We’ll see if it makes a difference or not, but it hasn’t yet."

Crazy

It's the only print worthy adjective fitting to describe the recent talk of Ron Paul winning the Iowa Caucuses.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

Coming on the heels of Mike Huckerstbee err Huckabee's win 4 years ago, this would be another strike for those who don't want Iowa hitting lead off in Presidential politics.

I don't care if he's well financed, or has an organization in place, the man is on the fringe.

He's the Crazy Uncle families are justifiably embarrassed by.

It would be on par with Iowa Dummycrats supporting Dennis Kook-cinich.

They worst they've ever done is support favorite loon, err son CommieTommie Harkin in 1992.

"Paul appeals to people whose knowledge of major issues is superficial (and) he sees conspiracies where there are none. If he does well in Iowa, which is likely, it will be an enormous embarrassment to the Republicans."

What's with Paul's ads where it's claimed he's the one?

It's a strange and over-the-top campaign ad that is reminiscent of the more messianic proclamations of our current president.

Because that's worked out so well.

Although, Paul does have the same cult of personality effect on his supporters as Obama had on his.

Kommemorating Kwanzaa

Just like a malt liquor or a record single, Kwanzaa is 45.

At 45, Kwanzaa should go the way of malt liquor and the record single.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

This year's theme is -- Kwanzaa and the Seven Principles: Sharing and Sustaining the World.

In keeping with tradition, the Liter will share with the World its annual Kwanzaa Klassic!

So this is Kwanzaa

With apologies to the "Twelve Days of Christmas".

"Seven days of a made up Holiday"

On the first day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Umoja(Unity), as in his group United Slaves.

On the second day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Kujichagulia(Self Determination), as in two dead Black Panthers killed by United Slaves.

On the third day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), as in the time Karenga served for the torture of women members of United Slaves.

On the fourth day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), as in the commercialization of a phony holiday.

On the fifth day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Nia (Purpose), as in the words of Al Sharpton, "De-Whitizing" Christmas. It's put there so the brotha's would par-tay.

On the sixth day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Kuumba (Creativity), as in the seven headed hydra symbol of the Symbionese Liberation Army.

On the seventh day of Kwanzaa, Founder Ron Karenga gave to me...

Imani (Faith), as in "People think it's African, but it's not. I came up with Kwanzaa because black people in this country wouldn't celebrate it if they knew it was American...". a 1978 Washington Post quote from Ron Everett now known as Maulana Karenga.

HAPPY KWANZAA!

Christmas

This holiday first became less joyous for me in 1975.

It was 10 months after the loss of my Grandfather, my Dad's Dad, and it didn't seem right to celebrate without him.

That feeling deepened in 1978 when my Father wasn't alive to bring home the Christmas tree.

Now, a mere two months since my Mother's death (Letting Go), I find myself going through the motions.

I grieve for them.

I grieve for thee.

I grieve for what was.

I grieve for what can never be.

I know time will ease the pain, but it will always hurt.

It is extremely difficult to watch someone die, but I draw comfort knowing that I was there at the end for both of my parents.

I wish everyone had the chance to say their final goodbyes and I wish that no one would die alone.

This is my Mother parasailing on the Big Island in 2009.

She said she didn't want to come down.

I guess it was her practice flight with the Angels.

Here's to the loved ones lost, they made us who were are by being who they were.

Here Comes Santa Claus

With Christmas so close, the Liter decided to look through our recent letter file to figure out who's been naughty or nice.

The first posted piece came in at 2:52 p.m., yesterday, from Anonymous concerning our Nutbush City Limits commentary.

You really are a loser, posting only to yourself. Hope you and your "friends" are having fun. I'm leaving this sh*thole, never to return.

Dear Anonymouse:

You come across as very David Goodner Dumbass -esque and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I've noted from my first posting that this blog is like therapy for me and I'm always amazed anyone reads what I post, yet they do in the power centers of D. C. and Des Moines.

Interesting that Anonymouse read the Liter and posted on it, yet I'm the loser.

Thanks for reading.

Next on our docket is Exhibit B, a letter registered at 2:55 p.m., yesterday, coincidentally also from an Anonymouse and citing our A Lesson In Leavin' commentary.

Hello? Hello? Anyone there? Anyone reading this? Apparently not. Sorry, loser - no one cares what you think. I work 50 hours a week, make over $100,000/year as an attorney, and I am part of the 99%. I am not complaining about the way I have been tre ated. But I have seen too many poor people spit on, literally and figuratively.

Dear Counselor:

Your Habeas Corpus is merely hearsay and more than likely would not hold up under oath.

Either you're the same person that three minutes earlier was leaving this "sh*thole , never to return" or you're being plagiarized.

We also believe you've committed perjury with your "I work 50 hours a week" statement, so you may want to redact it.

If you're with the Occupy-errs, you are not the 99%, but rather the 1/10th of one percent in the judgment of another witness.

The Respondent.

As an aside, the Liter chose the Coca-Cola Santa because that is what we grew up with in our family business and its corporate connection has got to piss off the Occupy-errs.

HO HO HO!

This version is for our "friend" Cal (Freedom's pal).

4 Letter Word

That sums up the response we got from our friend Cal (Freedom's pal) regarding yesterday's post on the self proclaimed 4th best President (I Can't Help Myself).

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

American Crossroads has this "Great" video on Obama's accomplishments.

Christmas In Prison?

Not this year, maybe next year the Liter can look forward to Phony Joanie Edwards being behind bars.

Citing medical condition, Edwards seeks delay in trial

I bet he's allergic to the soap and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Interesting that there's a federal prison in North Carolina named Butner.

Bernie Madoff is serving his sentence there.

John Edwards and Madoff can swap stories of how they spent the money of people who trusted them.

My Poor Brain

I don't want to appear insensitive to a serious issue, but I have a couple of issues with this lawsuit.

Four ex-players sue NFL alleging brain damage

The suit alleges the NFL knew as early as the 1920s of the potential for concussions but only made them public in 2010.

"The NFL not only failed to take effective action in an attempt to protect players from suffering, but failed to inform players of the true risks associated with concussions," the suit said.

When you've played football as long as these guys have, you're aware of the risks.

In addition, most of these guys are such competitors that very little deterred them from playing.

Look at Ronnie Lott --

Late in the 1985 season, he was involved in such a brutal hit on running back Tim Newsome that it literally tore off parts of Lott's left pinky. Legend has it that part of his skin and bone fragments were left on the field. He played the rest of the game, taped it up for the next (and final) game of the season and played that one too.

Then, in the off-season he faced the choice of intricate finger surgery and possibly missed playing time, or amputation of the tip of his finger. He chose amputation and played on for six more years.

Finally, I think I would have found someone other than Jamal Lewis (pictured in his mug shot) to be part of the lawsuit, after all Lewis was charged with conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms of cocaine in 2004.

That doesn't make Lewis come across as all that smart to begin with and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Your Decision?

The Ragister's Kathie Obradovich (Old Bromide) has quite the take on a recent endorsement.

Shall we cancel the caucuses, let Hurley decide?

The gall of some people, after all that's the Register's job with their anointment's and the scientific community is united in that fact.

For what its worth, the endorsement of Rick Santorum by Vander Putz and Hurley make me less want to support him.

I have been leaning toward Santorum since T-Paw checked out.

I Can't Help Myself

The 44th President has been fixated on his historical ranking lately, considering himself at least the fourth-best president in history.

Hysterical ranking is more like it and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Fourth place, way to underachieve!

It's what you'd expect from a cynical, Chicago ward politician who runs for office and promises everything and then comes to office and disappoints."

Here's the Liters favorite #4 for Obama

A Hazy Shade Of Winter

I'm in agreement with Disney, Pooh to the First Day of Winter.

The only good thing that comes from the winter solstice is the days will begin to lengthen and we're moving closer to Spring & Summer and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Rehab?

Our favorite "Dumbass" is back with the loons that are Occupy Iowa.

David Goodner is the only occupy-err quoted in this Ragister article

Occupy Des Moines announces location for “People’s Caucus”

It was just last month the Goodner was busted for trespass, interference with official acts, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After which Goodner said he would -- Remove myself as a public face of the organization –my personal credibility has been damaged and for the good of the movement, I am distancing myself from Occupy Des Moines effective immediately. I will not attend General Assembly meetings or publicly participate in any actions or events until after the New Year.

Looks like lying was not one of those defects of character Goodner had removed during his Alcoholics Anonymous Twelve Step Program and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Shame, Shame, Shame

All was quiet on the Western Front when I drove past the Iowa UNDemocratic Party (and the scientific community is united in that fact) Headquarters on Fleur this morning.

8 “Occupy” protesters arrested at Iowa Democratic Party headquarters

Stormin' Norm Sterzenbach, Iowa Dummycrat Party Executive, said -- an occupation of our office is not acceptable

When you dance with the Devil you've got to expect to get burned and the scientific community is united in that fact

The next time I see Sue Dvorsky shopping at the nearby Hy-Vee, I'm going to mention this to her, if she'll stay off the cell phone.

Try Again?

Is it strike two for the Polk County Supervisors?

After criticism, county eyes another new name for auditorium
It's 'Veterans Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center'

Polk County officials have scrapped plans to formally turn “Veterans Memorial Auditorium” into the “Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.”

Polk County and Community Choice Credit Union are said to be surprised by public response to their symbolic rejection of the 56-year-old building’s name.

Looks like the community has already made its choice and the scientific community is united in that fact.

They could have only mucked this up more by adding a trophy.

Stay All Night

Like an infectious disease, the Occupy-errs have spread to Obama’s Des Moines campaign headquarters and aren't leaving.

Occupy Des Moines meets with Obama rep, vows to stay anyway

Obnoxious Whiner Syndrome isn't limited to the protest-errs, it's a Fiberal Dummycrat thing and the scientific community is united in that fact, as Obama’s Iowa campaign director Derek Eadon obnoxiously whined --

“I don’t know what you want me to do, This is a volunteer office.”

They all deserve each other.

The recent words of Chris Christie echo in my mind...

their anger is rooted in the fact that they believed in this hope and change garbage that they were sold three years ago by this president”.

"They represent an anger in our country that Barack Obama has caused. Because he's a cynical, Chicago ward politician who runs for office and promises everything and then comes to office and disappoints."

“Now they are angry but they’re not mature enough to know they should be angry with themselves”.

Locked Out

Maybe the Liter needs to rethink our criticisms of the Occupy-errs.

Protesters occupy outside Obama’s Des Moines headquarters

NAH, but we do find this amusing and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Occupiers don’t get to Occupy Obama HQ

The Occupy-errs went to the headquarters at 11:30 a.m. only to find the doors locked and the office closed.

Apparently, they weren't the ones we've been waiting for, even though, You are the reason the community organizer ran for office.

No wonder that the American people feel like nobody is looking out for them right now.

Maybe their hero, Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie, will protect the protest-errs once again.

Fumble

WHO TV HD reporter Aaron Brilbeck should be penalized for his Paul Rhoads (pictured) story and the scientific community is united in that fact.

RHOADS CONTRACT: Students Say $20M is Excessive

In his December 17 story, Brilbeck compared Rhoads new salary with other Big 12 coaches that Iowa State beat this season, noting that Turner Gill of Kansas makes 2,101,200.

The problem is that Gill was fired by Kansas on November 27 and hired at Liberty on December 15.

Charlie Weis became the new Kansas coach on December 8.

A Better Man?

Dummycrat Statehouse candidate David Johnson claims he promptly returned a campaign contribution from the DuPont chemical company that wasn't meant for him anyway.

State House hopeful returns ‘dirty money’ that wasn’t meant for him

The check was made out to State Senator David Johnson and not intended for House candidate David Johnson.

Later in the story, Johnson claims he will be returning DuPont’s check immediately.

Which is it?

Looks like House candidate Johnson has the political double speak down pat and the scientific community is united in that fact.

House candidate Johnson piously finds “corporate influence on elected officials quite distasteful”.

I guess I would too if my opponent was an incumbent who raised $158,318 in his last election.

I'm sure House candidate Johnson will gladly accept contributions from labor unions and the Iowa Dummycrat Party.

Lastly, is it us, or does Johnson look like Clint Black?

Maggot Brain

Occupy-errs interrupted a Newt Gingrich appearance in the People's Republic of Iowa City.

Occupy protesters crash Gingrich event
Protesters surprise Gingrich at UI event

Protesters interrupt Gingrich talk at U of I

Gingrich was at the University of Iowa medical campus to talk about brain research and the Occupy-errs were the perfect example of the negative control group and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Plus, they had to still be a little pissed about Newt's recent Go get a job right after you take a bath remarks.

What If

I generally detest the "What If" game.

It's annoying when applied to sports, if the season ended today, and it's reared its ugly head twice in political news(?) in the last few hours.

Thanks to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News Survey, both the anchorette for WHO TV HD News at 9 on KDSM FOX 17 and a columnist for the Washington Examiner played the If the election were held today angle.

If the election were held today, it would violate the Constitution and numerous laws and the scientific community is united in that fact.

So stop it!

New Perspective

When we last heard from Martha Willits (pictured), a signer of The Iowa Compact, she was deriding U.S. immigration policy as makeshift laws.

Now comes word that Willits said immigration policy needs to be set with a global perspective in mind, not one where a person’s status changes by crossing a state line.

Thank goodness she's retiring at the end of this year and the scientific community is united in that fact.

That's the type of thinking that want U.S. Courts to follow International Law.

Standing On Guard

The Liter recently made fun of the media for being purveyors of press releases for their reporting, but in this case WHO TV HD couldn't even read it right for this story.

GUARD BIRTHDAY: The Iowa National Guard celebrates a big birthday
Tuesday is the Iowa National Guard's 375th birthday.

When I heard the story during Tuesday's 5 p.m. newscast, I knew the math didn't add up and the scientific community is united in that fact.

In a press release dated December 6, the Iowa National Guard announced the celebration of the NATIONAL GUARD'S 375th Birthday on December 13.

Reading further in the press release, one finds out that re-enactors will display uniforms representing the 172-year history of the Iowa National Guard.

Only missed it by 203 years!

Yowsah Yowsah Yowsah

Because government doesn't waste enough money, and the scientific community is united in that fact, The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has just awarded a $25,000 grant to the Repertory Dance Theater in Salt Lake City to educate youth about the impacts of air pollution.

The purpose is to educate Salt Lake City youth about the impacts of air pollution" and will produce "demonstrations and movement classes" for elementary school children."

The RDT already receives numerous government contributions, including the National Endowment for the Arts, to support all those aspiring Billy Elliot's.

Nil Nil

The Iowa Compact states, "We respect the rule of law", yet they just don't seem to want to follow it.

Compact signer Martha Willits derides them as makeshift laws.

The eventual next step is to allow illegal immigrants to vote in elections and the scientific community is united in that fact.

After all, we wouldn't want to infringe on the Constitutional rights of Iowa’s residents.

Nada

I'm not getting a warm fuzzy from this new bi-partisan group on immigration.

The Iowa Compact is supposed to be unveiled and signed today by a group of state leaders.

Leaders in this state shouldn't be using a web site with Washington D.C. attached to it and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Who is americasvoicelabs.com?

Are they affiliated with America's Voice?

Don't look for the media to ask these questions because they're just purveyors of press releases.

Quote Unquote

I'm not sure how I ended up on this groups e-mail list, but I received something from Hawkeye Caucus.

An ongoing section of their posts is titled

QUOTE/UNQUOTE

This group of alumni, students, employees and friends of the University of Iowa do the U of I a grave disservice with this embarrassment and the scientific community is united in that fact.

"How do you unquote a quote?"

Computer Love

KCCI aired a story on the Iowa Workforce Development kiosks that opened in local libraries, schools and public places after several IWD offices, for at least now, were closed.

An Ames librarian was interviewed and she noted some people were frustrated by working online with the computer and would walkout.

If you can't point and click on a computer, there's a reason you're still unemployed and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Crowded House

Most of the media agree that there were more than 1,000 in attendance for Ron Paul's recent Iowa State event.

Ron Paul Draws Big Crowds and Many Undecided Voters in Iowa

More than 1,000 turn out to see Ron Paul at ISU

Over 1000 Turn Out To See Ron Paul in Ames

The Ames Tribune saw it a little differently

OK a lot differently and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The support of Paul lends credence to the quotes attributed to H.L. Menken and P.T. Barnum.

Changing Priorities

Bill Burton (pictured) is a Senior Strategist for Priorities USA.

Burton used to work in the Obama White House as deputy press secretary and served CommieTommie Harkin in some sort of communications job.

The Ragister quoted Burton regarding a Priorities USA ad that features a ‘”special guest” — President Ronald Reagan.

President Reagan cited in Iowa ad supporting higher taxes for wealthy

We're told that Priorities USA is a tax-exempt non-profit group.

Gotta love that irony and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Where Did The Money Go

Former MF Global CEO Jon Corzine couldn't account for it when he testified before a a House panel this week.

Corzine bewildered over missing MF Global money

I always thought Corzine was an MF and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Surely some ended up at the lavish $35,800 a plate fundraiser Corzine held for President Obama last spring and was attended by Wall Street bankers.

Corzine did to clients what he did to the U.S. as a Senator and New Jersey as Governor.

I look for him to blame, and probably sue, Chris Christie soon.

Kick Him When He's Down

Occupy Iowa/Des Moines reached a new low, even for these scumbags and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Neighbors: Occupy Protesters Took Evicted Man's Belongings

They don't care who they steal from, they just want something for nothing.

I do love how Chris Christie handled these societal misfits when they interrupted his speech for Mitt Romney on Wednesday.

“You’re so angry, aren’t you? Work it all out. Work it all out for yourselves.”

Christie continued

“Where was I before I was so New Jersey-ly interrupted?”

Then Christie hit the nail on the head

“Let’s talk about these folks for a second … their anger is rooted not in me or in Mitt Romney, their anger is rooted in the fact that they believed in this hope and change garbage that they were sold three years ago by this president”.

"They represent an anger in our country that Barack Obama has caused. Because he's a cynical, Chicago ward politician who runs for office and promises everything and then comes to office and disappoints."

“Now they are angry but they’re not mature enough to know they should be angry with themselves”.

He also had shared something that Republicans should take to heart --

"If you're looking for the candidate who agrees with you on everything, buy a mirror. What we need to be concerned about is not about being Republicans first, but being Americans first. It's up to us to save our country, and it starts in Iowa."

I just wish Christie would take that last part to heart by putting America first and running for President to save our country.
