Most of all the major Iowa Dummycrats have gone public on the latest Sinclair vs. Mediacom dispute.

CONgressman Bruce Braley sent a letter to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman to protect "my constituents and the public good."

Seriously?

CONgressman Dave No Sack...err Loebsack, Senator CommieTommie Harkin and Iowa City Mayor Regenia Bailey all wrote the FCC Chairman to do something.

Well stated!

It sounds like Harkin's theme on health care, "I'd rather get something done, even if it's imperfect."

Attorney General Tom Miller joined the fray urging FCC action because, "The loss of transmission of these networks on Jan. 1, 2010, will present an irreparable loss to Iowans...".

IRREPARABLE?

That's some high drama and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Iowans have known this was coming and can still take action to avoid the loss of a mere TV signal so they can watch the Hawkeyes in the Orange Bowl.

Mediacom doesn't carry the NFL Network, carrier of the Insight Bowl in which the Iowa State Cyclones are playing tonight, but a work around was found, WOI TV/5 will carry it, without government intervention.

This is not the first dust up between Sinclair and Mediacom, in January 2007 Iowa Dummycrats in the Legislature wanted to hold hearings on the dispute.

Back then the President of the Des Moines branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Linda Carter-Lewis cited the impact the dispute had on the poor.

Stating the absence of the Sinclair channels is hard on low-income Iowa subscribers in rural and urban areas. Minimal cable service, costing less than $20 a month is their best TV alternative.

Actually the best TV alternative then for the low-income was a one time purchase of rabbit ears, now it would be a one time purchase of a converter box.

Only two Iowa Dummycrats have yet to weigh in.

The Big Lug Nut, will be at the Orange Bowl "rooting them on" and CONgressman Leonard BOZO-well has yet to awaken from his long winters nap.

Kirke Financial Services, MidAmerican Energy, Iowa Farm Bureau and Principal Financial Group donated $50,000 each.

Nine companies gave $25,000 each, including John Deere, Pioneer and Wells Fargo.

Color these Dummycrats delusional as it will be about as competitive as their three previous high quality female candidates; Becky Greenwald (who lost to Latham by 21 points in 2008), Rozanne, err Taxanne Conlin (who lost to Chuck Grassley by 31 points in 2010) and Christie Vilsack (who lost to Steve King by 8 points in 2012).

Appel thinks her Iowa Senate accomplishments(?) of extension of health care coverage to Iowa children, the 4-year-old preschool program, a ban on smoking in restaurants and bars, and an increase in the minimum wage.

Don't forget Staci, you wanted an end to Federal Deductibility, your scheme to award Iowa's Electoral College votes to whichever candidate receives the most popular votes nationwide, regardless of who carries the state, the debt you saddled taxpayers with because of the borrowing scam known as I-JOBS and your sponsorship of the bill (SF193) that helped create the IDED tax credit film office fiasco.

The Ragister's Jennifer Jacobs filed this story and her original report (preserved by me) said "Appel took out a 10-year Republican incumbent, Julian Garrett, an Indianola attorney and farmer who had represented the district for nearly a decade".

Someone later cleaned up the report-errs as it was an open seat (incumbent Doug Shull had sought election as State Representative against Mark Davitt) which Garrett had not previously represented.

Iowa House Dummycrats were upset that House Republicans passed a non binding resolution respectfully requesting the Iowa Board of Regents reconsider and reverse its decision regarding the naming of the Harkin Institute of Public Policy for CommieTommie Harkin.

In their rage, House Dummycrats stated that multiple buildings or programs in other states have been named in honor of sitting politicians and that many are Republicans.

Of the 11 examples cited by House Dummycrats, 5 were sitting members of Congress.

Iowa House Dummycrats don't know sit and the scientific community is united in that fact.

One of those 5, Hubert Humphrey had announced he was suffering from terminal cancer and the naming after him (in that same year) was intended as a living memorial.

Besides, I thought out of state influence is supposed to be bad.

Iowa's Dummycrats are the BIGGEST WASTE

In two recent ratings for Congress, Iowa's CommieTommie Harkin & Leonard BOZO-well are really RANK!

For the past 17 years, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste(CCAGW) has looked at votes in Congress to determine who is voting in the taxpayers interest versus who prefers big government and pork-barrel spending.

The average rating for the House of Representatives was 45%, of that Republicans were 73% and Dummycrats were 13%.

LeonardBOZO-well's score was 8%!

The average rating for the Senate was 46%, of that Republicans were 68% and Dummycrats were 18%.

CommieTommie Harkin's score was 4% and that was the lowest score recorded!

CommieTommie wasn't the only Dummycrat with the lowest score. Others in the quagmire were; Byron Dorgan (ND), Richard Durbin (IL), Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Pat Leahy (VT), Paul Sarbanes (MD) and Minority Leader Harry Reid (NV).

Also, The Club For Growth came out with their ratings.

Leonard BOZO-well's score was 11 and that ranked him next to John"CUT & RUN" Murtha.

CommieTommie Harkin's score was 0.

That tied him with 20 other Senators. Some of those 20 were; HRC, John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Barack Obama and Harry Reid.

Election Day

Staci Appel-sauce for brains is supporting David Adelman in the Des Moines At Large City Council race.

Why would Appel support a man, via a $250 contribution, over either of the two women in the race?

It must be because Adelman's a lawyer, like her hubby Brent, and has worked for the Iowa Dummycrats and National Dummycrats and the scientific community is united in that fact.

This is after all Michael Kiernan's seat, even though Des Moines City Council races are supposed to be non-partisan.

Appel's future opponent, Kent Sorenson will be speaking at a event put on by the Iowa Family Pac next Tuesday (11/10) in Norwalk at the Wright Place Community Center (7-9am).

The mailing I received also stated Danny Carroll would be speaking too.

The Big Lug Nut has a new TV spot, "Stronger Than Ever" is his second and according to it the BLN has "led our recovery when floods ravaged Iowa" and a "National publications praise Culver's "good fiscal management."

I find the STANDARDS for this "National Publication" to be POOR!

Incestuous Dummycrats

This whole Central Iowa Employment & Training Consortium debacle just gets seedier & seedier. As I mentioned earlier, CIETC April 16 post, Ramona Cunningham has been called Iowa's highest paid hooker. She was involved with Board Chairman & Des Moines City Councilman Archie Brooks, who had two relatives on the payroll. CommieTommie Harkin said he'd never met her(yet he's shown posing with her for a picture), had their learning center named after him and more importantly earmarked over $2 million dollars for CIETC. That was above what the U.S. Department of Labor had budgeted. Polk County Supervisor & CIETC Board Member John Mauro had a relative on the CIETC payroll. Cunningham's daughter was on the CIETC payroll. Dan Albritton, CIETC Board Member & President of South Central Federation of Labor, bought a boat with Cunningham and he's also received CIETC money for consulting work. Then of course there's the interaction between Iowa Work Force Development and CIETC. IWD Deputy Director Jane Barto and Cunningham are alleged friends and Barto did make several attempts to quash local & federal investigations into CIETC. Former IWD Director Cynthia Eisenhauer is currently Governor Tom Vilsack's(The pickle?) Chief of Staff and she was contacted several times about CIETC problems prior to the media's awareness. Eisenhauer's interim replacement at IWD was Deb Dessert, who is married to one of the former CIETC executives, John Bargman, and received CIETC money for consulting work. Dessert currently works for the Iowa State Auditor's office. WHEW!! I'm sure that's only a small portion of the iceberg. Speaking of icebergs, What is the difference between CIETC and the Titanic? The Titanic had a dance band! I knew something was about to break again because The Pickle was interviewed by WHO/TV13's John Bachman, for a Sunday morning program. WHO/TV13 aired a snippet last night and the Pickle (pictured as Winnie the Pooh) is trying to shift blame to the Republican Auditor's office and Dessert. I don't think that will work too well because the Pickle's office received a report, asked for by the Pickle, from the Iowa Department of Administrative Services. That report was received a few weeks ago, but is being kept secret by the Pickle's office, primarily his Chief of Staff Cynthia Eisenhauer. It's no mere coincidence that the Dummycrats in the Legislature are complaining about the time & money the Legislative oversight committee has been spending on this. Now the Pickle is trying to shift the blame and keep reports secret. After all the Pickle wants to be President.

The Big Crash?

A group called Progress Iowa tried to organize a Crash Mitt Romney's Private Country Club Event!

They extended 37 online invites to such heavyweights as Danny Homan and ASSME Iowa; Ken Sagar; Bonnie Campbell; Mari Culver; Charlie Wishman and John Deeth.

According to the Ragister, 15 or 20 people showed up for the street demonstration, including many with ties to unions, the activist group Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement and other liberal organizations.

That shouldn't merit media coverage and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Protesters quoted include, Ryan Maher (a Socialist brother to Bill), who state brilliantly on a sign -- “Hey, Mr. One Percent, open up your country club event to the real job creators.”

And that would be a carpet layer from Des Moines?

When you look and think like Ryan, the only thing you can lay is carpet.

Also in attendance were Jan Laue who said -- “Mitt Romney and his rich benefactors are behind the gate while ordinary people are out on the street. It’s symbolic of what would happen if Mitt Romney were elected.”

As you can see from our first picture Laue is correct, as there has been a fence around the White House since 1876.

Michael Hunt, a spokesman for the Iowa Democratic Party, wore a Mitt Romney Halloween mask as he held a sign criticizing “Romney economics.”

Not only has Christie Vilsack campaigned widely and acted as a visible surrogate for her husband during two successful runs for governor, but she helped him during his brief run for president in 2008, then worked on New York Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.









Those aren't strengths, especially in northwest Iowa.

Politico reported that Vilsack also been huddling with several Democratic operatives to plot a potential campaign, including veteran media consultant John Lapp and Teresa Vilmain, who headed up Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary campaign in the state.

Again, not a strength as Hellary finished third, behind Obama and Joanie Phony.

Tom Vilsack said this about the race, “it will be a holy war.”

Legitimate Issue(s)

The Ragister has a story today about the new power couple in Iowa, the Appels.

Brent and Staci, pictured (small like all Dummycrats), are coming across as Clinton wannabes.

As I mentioned Friday (Iowa Values, Iowa Common Sense?), Brent has been appointed by the Pickle to the Iowa Supreme Court. His wife is running for the Iowa Senate.

Ms. Appel's opponent, Julian Garrett, is raising concerns over possible conflicts their relationship/careers could cause. He also believes that the district's representation would suffer.

The Senate Dummycrat leader, Mike Gronstal, tried to pooh-pooh it and make Garrett out to be sexist.

Today there was also a letter to the editor written with glowing remarks about Ms. Appel, the letter was signed by a financial contributor to her campaign.

I live in the Senate District, Iowa 37.

I do not personally know either candidate.

I have not contributed to Mr. Garrett's campaign, although I have already voted for him.

I sent Ms. Appel an e-mail last Saturday regarding this issue....

Why did I have to find out in today's paper about your husband? None of the literature you sent me, your newspaper ads, your TV commercial or your calls to my home have mentioned him. My wife thought you were a single mother raising four children by herself.

I ran for Iowa House, twice getting my clocked cleaned, when you introduce yourself as a candidate you include biographical information such as a spouse and children. She's let me know numerous times about her kids, never her husband. It comes across as something their trying to hide. Also, since he's a failed candidate it feels like he's playing puppetmaster.

I also asked her about her $3,000 in contributions to Hillary Rodham Clinton's two Senate runs.

I have yet to receive a response.

I'll give it 'til Saturday, one week, then I'm going on the attack with letters to the Ragister and the paper they own in District 37--the Indianola Old Weird Herald.

Another concern is the over $100,000 she has raised for her senate campaign.

It's a part time job! The seat only pays a little over $21,000.

Dining with Jefferson & Jackson

Iowa Dummycrats are gathering in Des Moines tonight for their annual Jefferson-Jackson (JJ) dinner.

The only thing these Dummycrats have in common with Andrew Jackson is their desire to see the Electoral College eliminated.

They certainly would be upset with Thomas Jefferson's handling of the terrorists that were the Barbary Pirates.

Add Two More To The Unemployed

Remember all the harping Iowa Dummycrats did about passage of extended unemployment benefits?

It was pure political demagoguery and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Iowans miss out on unemployment benefit extension

The Big Lug Nut decided last year not to seek a change in the state’s unemployment law and that has resulted in 13 fewer weeks of benefits being available to out-of-work Iowans.

Because the BLN did not pursue a federal program for which Iowa qualified in September 2009, potentially 18,000 Iowans missed out on extended unemployment benefits for private-sector workers that were funded by the federal government at no cost to the states.

This is the same man who said (video below) -- "I've been leading the charge in terms of extending unemployment benefits".

During the debate over the extension, Iowa Workforce Development had to use words like "about" and "could" when describing Iowans eligible for additional unemployment benefits because they new the truth that those people wouldn't qualify.

Rozanne, err Taxanne Conlin showed how ignorant she was by lambasting Senator Grassley for ignoring "the men and women of Iowa who are now struggling to provide food for their families, keep a roof over their heads, and provide medical care.”

Easy Money

It's only Tuesday, but Iowa Dummycrat Senator Rob Boss Hogg (pictured) makes his second appearance this week on our blog.

Boss Hogg is proposing a “Branstad Rule” for Iowa's Tax System because Governor Branstad had a $52 state income tax bill for 2011.

The $52 state income tax was an anomaly, the governor’s staff said. Branstad paid $62,831 in federal income taxes in 2010 and that amount is deductible on his 2011 state tax return. Since his 2011 income is much lower, the deduction substantially reduced his state tax liability, they said.

In an effort to score political points, and hurt one person, Hogg is talking about ending the state tax break that lets Iowans deduct what they paid in federal taxes before calculating their Iowa income tax liability.

The name ROB is apropos and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Iowa Dummycrats tried ending Federal Deductibility in 2009, but individuals (even middle and lower income taxpayers)would have seen their taxes increase.

Iowa Senator Charles "Chuckles" Grassley is breaking tradition and not backing a candidate for President in the Iowa Caucus.

"Chuckles" has backed the Caucus winner in 1988, 1996 & 2000.

Then there's Iowa's junior Senator, CommieTommie Harkin.

Not only was he an overall loser in 1992, he won the support of Iowa Dummycrats, he backed the big NON winner of 2004.

Branstad protects his own interests instead of everyday Iowans

The Dummycrats posted, and the media has carried the theme, that Branstad must be a hypocrite because he's for keeping post offices open in small towns, but he closed Workforce Development offices.

There are 10 Billion reasons the Postal Service needs to change, but I can understand the difference to the Governor.

No Iowa town has ceased to exist because an Iowa Workforce Development office, that was only open one day a week, has closed. The same cannot be said about an Iowa town that is losing its local post office.
